I’m a Brazilian/American Designer, Entrepreneur, and Investor, based in Los Angeles, CA. I have previously lived in New York City, San Francisco, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Campinas. I’m a self-taught Designer and Developer, and learned most of what I know from the Internet. I’ve been designing, coding, and starting businesses since I was 12 years old. I never went to college, and instead pursued my own path.

I started my own design practice when I as 12, and built websites for clients around the world. At age 18, I joined Globo, Brazil's larges media company as a product designer. At age 20, I was recruited by Evan Williams to be Twitter’s first product designer.  I left Brazil and moved to San Francisco. I joined the company in 2008 to work alongside founders Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Jack Dorsey. Over period of 4.5 years, I helped the company grow from 10 to 3000 employees, and the product grow from 1,000s to 200,000,000 users.

After leaving Twitter, I co-founded Envoy, I was the first Designer at Twitter (Now X). I joined the company in 2008 to work alongside founders Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Jack Dorsey. Over period of 4.5 years, I helped the company grow from 10 to 3000 employees, and the product grow from 1,000s to 200,000,000 users.
Before Twitter, I Designed products which were used by millions of people in Brazil. Globo Corporation is the largest media conglomerate in Latin America and among the biggest in the world.

I’m a Co-founder and Partner at Expa, a studio of startups. Expa was founded by Garrett Camp (co-founder of Uber). Over the last decade, we’ve raised and deployed $350M towards the creation of category-defining companies like Metabase, Current, Collective, Aero, Eco, Layer and investments in 200+ companies including Prometheus.

Before Expa, I co-founded Envoy, the visitor registration app. I designed its flagship product and brand, acquired and supported early customers. Envoy raised over $170M from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Menlo Ventures, and Initialized Capital.

Before Envoy, I was the first Designer at Twitter (Now X). I joined the company in 2008 to work alongside founders Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Jack Dorsey. Over period of 4.5 years, I helped the company grow from 10 to 3000 employees, and the product grow from 1,000s to 200,000,000 users.
